Welcome to Botwars, a 16-bit game and infinite runner that harkens back to the beloved games of the past.
Set in a cyberpunk world overrun by robotic creatures, chaos reigns and the city is in need of a hero - you. Take on the challenge and run through the city, defeating enemies with your droid character's plasma beams fired from its robotic arm to restore peace.
Botwars presents a refreshing take on endless runner games. The gameplay extends beyond mere obstacle jumping as enemies pose real threats with unpredictable shooting patterns. Players must navigate treacherous terrain while managing their limited shooting capacity, ensuring their weapon doesn't overheat and leave them vulnerable to destruction by deadly foes. Explore the environment, collecting cyberhearts strategically placed throughout to progress further in your mission.
Developed as part of the Developer Academy Project at the Catholic University of Brasilia, Botwars offers a unique gaming experience that challenges players' skills and reflexes in a captivating cyberpunk setting.
